This conference is the world’s largest, most comprehensive HIV/AIDS Conference and is held every two years. It provides a unique, global forum for all players on HIV/AIDS and is a unique synthesis of science and community. It is also a focus of massive media and political attention – the previous one at Barcelona in 2002 had over 18,000 delegates from 160 countries and tremendous media coverage.
