Plan for Improving Social Protection launched at Government House

UN, Procter and Gamble hold MY World corporate launch event

BANGKOK, THAILAND– At Procter and Gamble’s big manufacturing plant in Bangkok, the United Nations in Thailand and P&G officially kicked off their MY World partnership in Thailand—engaging plant employees and inspiring their families and loved ones to take part in the UN global survey.More than 80 P&G employees were in attendance at the Thursday, March 21 event, along with P&G executives and representatives from United Nations agencies. read more

“One Woman” song to be released on International Women’s Day – the Countdown begins today!

NEW YORK-, 22 February – On International Women’s Day, 8 March 2013 UN Women will launch “One Woman: A song for UN Women”, a musical celebration of women worldwide, featuring more than 20 artists from across the globe. “One Woman” calls for change and celebrates acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who daily make extraordinary contributions to their countries and communities. read more

Bangkok Recommendations for disability-inclusive agribusiness adopted unanimously

21 February 2013: The Bangkok Recommendations were today unanimously adopted at a regional workshop to promote greater employment opportunities for disabled people in the agribusiness sector. The 11 recommendations will serve as pathway to greater employment opportunities in the agribusiness sector for people with disabilities People with disabilities are some of the world’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people. read more

MY World - A UN Global Survey

MY World is a global survey for citizens led by the United Nations and partners. It aims to capture people's voices, priorities and views, so that global leaders can be informed as they begin the process of defining the new development agenda for the world. Through creative online and offline methods, MY World asks individuals which six of sixteen possible issues they think would make the most difference to their lives.
