FACE works at both the policy and action level, linking with other local and international NGOs who work directly with children in all parts of the country. When it is in the best interest of the child, FACE also works with Thai governmental agencies as well as concerned agencies of other governments.
AIMS:
- To help sexually abused children and children in prostitution by improving the legal/justivce system through the monitoring the cases so that effective mechanisms can be created and appropriate actions taken;
- To recommend to the appropriate authorities lessons learned through FACE monitoring activities which could be used to improve and amend both the law and the judicial structures in dealing with sexual crimes against children.
- To raise awareness among the public and law enforcement officers of the seriousness of child abuse issues/cases and the social consequences for the victims.
