UN Agencies

There are 18 United Nations agencies in the Country Team in Thailand working to help the country achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN agencies in Thailand also work together through notable inter-agency programmes – such as on HIV/AIDS and Human Trafficking – through the Operations Management Team, Communities of Practices and Thematic Working Groups, which are further facilitated by the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator. The inter-agency programmes have made important contributions pertaining particularly to advocacy and coordination, as they are premised on the understanding that collaboration on these issues will increase the effectiveness of UN system support to Thailand. Such inter-agency engagements that draw together and manage resources from several UN agencies are important vehicles for pushing forward the UN’s common agenda and “Delivering as One”.
